Thank You Fire Department

I wanted to take a moment and write a post thanking our local fire departments. On Sunday, December 3, my family and I were on our way out to church. As we were walking out the door, I heard my husband say, "get inside. We are not going." I asked why and he had me come to the door and look outside.

There was a grass fire coming! The winds were blowing from the west at approximatedly 30-50 miles per hour. In order for us to get to church, we would have had to cross the path of the smoke and possibly be stuck in it all the way to church.

Deciding this was not safe, we stayed indoors and tried to keep our daughter from getting too scared.

Thankfully, everyone was alright. As far as I know, no one was hurt during the grass fire. That is in LARGE part to the brave men and women who acted swiftly to put out the flames. I am so thankful for all you have done. Thank you for keeping everyone safe.
